Position Overview
The RNFA is essential for the direct and indirect total nursing care of assigned patients in the Operating Room, offering support both to the surgical team and patients. This role involves assisting surgeons during procedures, supervision of assigned personnel, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Four years of nursing/patient care experience in an operating room setting
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or Compact State Licensure
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Certification in perioperative nursing within 12 months of employment
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct patient care in perioperative role assisting the surgeon - Supervision of assigned personnel - Adherence to department and hospital policies and procedures
