Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated individual to fill a full-time faculty position within a Glaucoma service. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the field of ophthalmology through patient care, education, and research. The appointment rank (instructor/assistant/associate/full professor) will align with the candidate's academic achievements and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology.
Fellowship-trained in glaucoma.
Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia by the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications

A demonstrated track record of research in the field of ophthalmology.
Prior experience in teaching at an academic level.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and patients.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional patient care within the field of glaucoma.
Engage in the education and mentorship of residents and medical students.
Conduct and contribute to high-quality research activities.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to foster a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and education.
